There were complaints on this Xbox 360 about the hardware defects. The red lights in the device glow and this is known as the red light error. The whole set up gets resumed whole playing and the whole game is lost without getting saved.
Few think that these problems are occurring because the console gets red-hot when playing for long hours. But there are complaints that the console gets red-hot within short-term of time when compared with other type of gaming consoles available in the market.
There are four lights in the Xbox console which is arranged in the form of a ring. They can glow in either green or red colors.
Green will be the color of the lights, when the console is in the normal mode and red will be the lights, whenever there is a trouble. The fault kinds are four in number namely single red light error, two red light error, three red light fault and four red light faults.
The users can solve the single red light error and the two red light errors by themselves. But the current problem is about the three red light fault which could be a tougher task for the users to solve, when it occurs.
After many studies on the console devices, it was ended up that the overheating of the console was due to some cooling problems. Since the heat sinks couldn't withstand the heat produced by the console, the processors such as the graphical processing unit cracks and ceases its function.
Additional cooling system can be fixed to the console to avoid the overheating of the console when played for long hours. For this we need to remove the X clamps from the motherboard that holds the heat sinks.
